Although results vary from person to person, a very large number of people have used The Original Rescue Bracelet with tremendous success… and for a very wide
variety of problems. In fact we have an extensive file of testimonials which bear this out. The following FAQ List covers some of the more regular questions
that we have received. We hope it is of assistance to you. If you have any other queries at all, please don’t hesitate to e-mail us, and we’ll do our utmost to
respond to you speedily.
Q. Being right-handed and wearing a wrist watch on my left hand, should I wear the bracelet on my right hand as I am doing now ?
A. Theoretically, it should make no difference. However, in a few cases, feedback seems to indicate it does make a difference with some people. And one Claremont health shop has a theory that explains it this way: "The right
wrist handles emotional problems and the left physical. So, if your ailment is purely physical, wear the bracelet on your left wrist. If the ailment has an emotional origin, then wear it on your right wrist."
Q. Should I shave the hairs on my wrist to ensure better contact?
A. We don't believe this should be necessary.
Q. Should I wear the bracelet with the space between the 2 ends facing upwards or the other way round?
A. It should make no difference which way up the bracelet is worn. However, depending on your wrist shape, you might gain better contact with the skin wearing the bracelet with the gap facing "up". It is a question of what is
most convenient for you.
Q. Should it be worn above or below the pivotal joint/bone on the wrist?
A. The bracelet should be worn in much the same position on the arm as one would wear a watch.
Q. Is it better to wear 2 or more bracelets instead of one?
A. We don't believe using more than one bracelet would be of any benefit.
Q. Should I take off my bracelet when taking a shower or a bath, or when having a swim in sea water?
A. It is fine to wear the bracelet whilst swimming in salt water, or bathing and showering. In fact, it's best to wear the bracelet at all times, removing it only for cleaning purposes.
Q. How long can one wear a single bracelet for? Does it last forever?
A. Care when removing and replacing the bracelet should ensure that it lasts a long time. We've found that the best method on removing the bracelet is to lift one side only, then to twist one's wrist to slide it out. Pulling
both sides open repeatedly, could 'kink' the Bracelet and weaken it. And as stated in the preceding answer, try to remove the bracelet for cleaning purposes only.
Q. Can the bracelet be worn with and / or come in contact with other jewellery such as a gold wrist chain ?
A. There are no reports that wearing a bracelet in contact with any other item of jewellery has an adverse affect. Many people wear a Rescue Bracelet next to a watch.
Q. When I bought your bracelet I was already wearing an ordinary copper one. Will this affect the "rescue" bracelet, and is there anything wrong with wearing both on the same arm?
A. The wearing of a copper bracelet at the same time as a Rescue Bracelet should not affect its function, even if both are worn on the same arm. However there have been some reports that wearing two Rescue Bracelets
simultaneously seemed to impair effectiveness.
Q. How do I clean my Rescue Bracelet?
A. It is particularly important to clean the inside of the Rescue Bracelet, where it is in contact with the skin. Wenol makes a particularly good cleaner but any metal cleaner like Brasso works well. A simple emergency
cleaner is a mix of Vim and Handy Andy on a damp cloth. (As indicated above, care is recommended when the bracelet is removed and replaced.)
Q. Can I play sport, e g tennis, golf, with my Rescue Bracelet on.
A. It is fine to wear it during sport. What you may notice when the body is stressed, as during exercise, or if one is unwell (a dose of the 'flu will do it!) - that the bracelet becomes quickly discoloured. It would appear
that the body is drawing heavily from it at this time.
Q. I was given a RESCUE bracelets that was one size too large, and there is only a 7mm gap between the two ends. Is this enough? If not, could I use a file to widen the gap? Packaging suggests a 'snug fit'.
A. A small gap is not a problem, provided the ends aren't touching. However, it is quite possible to cut or grind a bit off the bracelet, since the zinc within is continuous. Many people find that a 10mm gap is comfortable.
Q. My wrist needs washing off of green residue every two days. What exactly is it ?
A. A green residue of copper oxide is produced on the skin, and is quite normal. Copper being absorbed through the skin is one of the benefits, copper having long been recognised as an aid to arthritis. During periods when
the body is under stress, such as illness or physical exercise, the bracelet may leave a residue more frequently, which seems to indicate that the body is drawing more from it.
Q. After wearing one of your bracelets for a few months and I find that it does help me with a chronic pain in my shoulder. Is there any danger of copper poisoning to the blood.
A. To the best of our knowledge no-one has ever run into problems from an excess of copper using a Rescue Bracelet. Copper is an essential trace mineral. While it is possible to have an excess of copper in the body, it is
equally possible to suffer a copper deficiency. Even a mild copper deficiency impairs the ability of white blood cells to fight infection. For the body to work properly, it must have a proper balance of copper and zinc, and an imbalance can lead to thyroid
problems. Low (or high) copper levels may contribute to mental and emotional problems. During illness, copper is released from the tissues into the blood to promote tissue repair. High serum copper readings during illness should not be taken to mean that
copper is the cause of the illness; rather, it is an indication that the body's natural repair processes have been activated.
Q. Does it have any effect on the libido?
A. There is nothing to prove that the bracelet has any marked effect on the libido…. but we have received some positive reports.
